It takes a little bit of planning, but I’ve been able to knock them out within 7-9 days each time. I keep mead out until I have enough to cover the next few unlocks.Īlways build 2 of each new goods buildings so u can have enough to unlock 2 expansions at a time after the first production cycle! I, personally, love the settlements. I will try to get enough of each type good to cover the next few unlocks and then delete and build the next type good needed (always start with the good needed most) or say when u have mead out after unlocking, if the next few unlocks only need 50 mead. I also take note of how much total I’m going to need of every good so I can be planning accordingly. Once u unlock huts, delete all shrines and build 3 or 4 huts and then u should be able to get a 3rd good building in. This helps to get more of a particular good then if u have all types goods running all the time and helps to control which goods ur getting ur 4x bonus on. then I put down enough shacks and stuff them in a corner unconnected and lay down 3 shrines or more.Īlso, I only have 2 types of goods running in my city at any time. After the first cycle, ur able to unlock 2 expansion. but after getting the 25 FP for laying down the shrine, I delete the shrines and put down 2 axes and run 4 hour productions. I would cheat by unlocking shrines with diamonds. even when I was at a low % chance, I was getting 1-2n4x bonuses a day. If you have the time to do so, I would recommend doing 4 hour productions on ur goods as this greatly increases your number of productions thus increasing ur chances for getting 4x. A lot of people will use axes or mead to unlock all of their expansions, but for me that’s a lot of extra productions to get through to replace the goods used to unlock the expansions. Never more until I get to the wool and then I use 12 to unlock and extra one. I only use 1 and 5 goods to unlock the expansions. Warning: before using diamonds, be aware that when finishing a settlement (or abandoning one), the settlement will be reset and all buildings, goods in stock, advancements and expansions will be lost, including those unlocked with diamonds.I’m on my last settlement to get the last tree upgrade. There are also 4 expansions that can be unlocked with diamonds. Example: to place the 6th expansion the player can choose between paying 41 Axes, or 21 Mead, or 5 Horns, or 1 Wool. The cost of an expansion is one of the four options shown below. To expand the settlement, the player can buy 16 expansions with cultural goods. The buildings that produce copper coins have 6 different production options, in the following table all productions are listed.Īll settlement buildings except some diplomacy buildings require a road connection to the embassy. Although diplomacy seems similar to happiness, it has no effect on the Viking population or on settlement productions.īeware: when finishing or abandoning a settlement, all diplomacy gained will be lost. Diplomacy is needed to unlock embassy advancements. With each finished settlement, this percentage increases by 1.5%, until 15 settlements are finished, after which it stays at 25%.ĭiplomacy buildings provide diplomacy, some of them also produce copper coins. Unlike main city goods, the player cannot trade cultural goods with other players.īeware: when finishing or abandoning a settlement, all cultural goods in stock will be lost.Ĭultural goods buildings provide a production bonus: with each production the player has a chance of 3% to get 4x the amount of goods produced. After unlocking it, you will find a boat near your city that will bring you to your new settlement. The production is similar to goods production in the main city, but requires a resource that the player gathers in the settlement: copper coins.Ĭultural goods are used for unlocking embassy advancements and expansions. The Cultural Settlements are unlocked with the Iron Age technology Plowing. Copper coins are needed for the production of cultural goods.īeware: when finishing or abandoning a settlement, all population and copper coins in stock will be lost.įact: the shack has three types of skins, they have either orange, purple or red canopies Cultural Goods Buildings Ĭultural goods buildings provide an amount of cultural goods, from 5 to 20, depending on the chosen production time. Residential buildings provide Viking population and copper coins. Players cannot trade cultural goods with other players. The building cost of each settlement building depends on the player's era and consists of resources from the main city: coins and supplies.Īll resources gained from the settlement, stay in the settlement. All other buildings become available by unlocking embassy advancements. The building menu consists of four types of buildings and an expansions window:Īt the start of the settlement, the player will have one of each type of building available in the building menu: the Shack, Axe Smith, Runestone and Snow Trail.
